A useful drinkware gift starts with the recipient’s routine. Coffee on the commute, water at a desk and a drink beside the sofa call for different capacities and lids. These Contigo and bubba gift ideas focus on the models in our catalogue and the practical details to check before choosing.
For coffee and the commute: Contigo Huron
The Contigo Huron 2.0 Couture travel mug holds 20 oz (591 mL) and pairs a SNAPSEAL lid with a White Marble finish. Consider it for someone who prefers drinking directly rather than through a straw. Check the dimensions of their cup holder and coffee-machine clearance rather than assuming every travel mug will fit.
For water at work: Ashland Chill or Cortland Chill
Both models have a 24 oz (709 mL) insulated stainless-steel body. The useful difference is how the recipient drinks: Ashland Chill has an AUTOSPOUT pop-up spout and straw, while Cortland Chill uses a press-to-drink AUTOSEAL lid. Our Cortland versus Ashland comparison explains the distinction. Do not confuse the insulated Ashland Chill with the separate 32 oz plastic Ashland.
For long days: bubba Trailblazer
The bubba Trailblazer with straw lid holds 40 oz (1.18 L) and comes in Lavender Frost. Its larger capacity can mean fewer refills, but a full larger bottle is heavier to carry. Choose a size the recipient can comfortably use. This straw-lid model should be carried upright; other Trailblazer lids and capacities are separate products.
For a roomy desk mug: bubba Hero XL
The bubba Hero XL holds 24 oz (709 mL), with a snap lid and Indigo finish. Consider it for someone who likes a generous mug at their desk. Carry it upright rather than choosing it on the assumption that it can lie loose in a bag.
Three checks before buying a drinkware gift
- Capacity: look at what the person already uses. Bigger is not automatically better for a short commute or small bag.
- Lid: match their drinking preference and the cleaning routine they will follow.
- Fit: check the cup holder, bag pocket or coffee-machine clearance. Universal fit cannot be assumed.
